Most Americans (74%) say they have never used an AI tool for mental-health or emotional-support purposes, according to a September 2025 Verasight survey.
About one-in-five (22%) have used AI this way: 11% in the past 30 days and 11% earlier than that. The remaining 4% prefer not to say.
