Asked their main reason for not wanting to know a coworker's political identity, nearly two-thirds of Americans (64%) say politics should not be a part of work, according to a Verasight survey conducted May 11, 2026.
A smaller share (20%) point instead to a worry about conflict, and 17% give another reason or are unsure.
