Most Americans describe their health as good

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted March 6 to 16, 2026, 79% of Americans rated their general health as good or better. Including 40% who said good, 30% who said very good, and 9% who said excellent.
About one in five rated their health as fair (17%) or poor (4%).
