One in four Americans skipped care because of cost in the past year

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 22 to 24, 2024, 28% of Americans said there had been a time in the past 12 months when they needed to see a doctor or other health care provider but did not because of the cost.
About seven-in-ten said they had not skipped care because of cost in the past year (72%).
