In a June 2026 Verasight survey, half of Americans (50%) say vanilla is the country's most popular ice cream flavor.

About a quarter (26%) point to chocolate, and beyond those two no flavor reaches one-in-ten: mint chocolate chip and cookie dough draw 7% each, Neapolitan 6%, and pistachio and rainbow sherbet about 2% each.
