Public access to federally funded research data has broad support

In a Verasight survey of 2,000 U.S. adults conducted Sept. 7 to 13, 2023, 73% of Americans agreed that researchers funded by the U.S. government should make all the data they collect public. Including 42% who strongly agree and 31% who agree.
About one in fourteen disagreed (7%), with 5% who disagree and 2% who strongly disagree. Another 20% were neutral.
