Three-quarters of Americans oppose going to war over Taiwan

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted April 9 to 15, 2025, 76% of Americans opposed a war over Taiwan. Including 42% who strongly oppose and 34% who somewhat oppose.
About a quarter said they would support going to war over Taiwan (24%), with 18% who somewhat support and 6% who strongly support.
