Americans can't agree on the best dryer-sheet scent
Core finding
More than a quarter of Americans (27%) prefer a dryer sheet scented to match their laundry detergent, the top pick, according to an August 2025 Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults. About one-in-five (21%) prefer an unscented sheet, and a similar share (20%) do not use dryer sheets at all.
Matching other laundry products rounds out the list: 18% prefer a scent that matches their fabric softener and 13% one that matches their scent booster.
