Household car access is nearly universal

In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Jan. 16 to 27, 2025, 92% of Americans said their household owns or has access to an automobile, including 86% who own one or more cars and 6% who have access without owning.
About one-in-twelve said their household does not own or have access to an automobile (8%).
