Most Americans get only a few hours of physical activity a week
Core finding
In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Nov. 14-20, 2025, nearly six-in-ten Americans (59%) get four hours or less of physical activity in a typical week. That includes 22% who get one-to-two hours, 21% who get three-to-four, and 16% who get less than an hour.
The rest report more: 16% get five-to-six hours, 10% seven-to-eight, 9% eleven or more, and 6% nine-to-ten hours.
