In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 1 to 4, 2026, 95% of Americans said they had not had surgery for breast cancer.

Lumpectomy was selected by 3%, while each listed mastectomy and reconstruction response was selected by about 1%. Respondents could select multiple items.
