In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted May 1 to 4, 2026, 74% of Americans rated oral nicotine products as at least moderately harmful for the average adult.
That includes 31% who rated them extremely harmful, 23% very harmful, and 20% moderately harmful. Another 12% were unsure or had not heard of these products.
