Almost everyone says surveys matter to society
Core finding
Americans see surveys as important to society, though most stop short of the strongest endorsement. Four-in-ten U.S. adults (40%) think surveys are somewhat important for society, and 34% go further, to very important, according to a May 2024 Verasight survey.
An additional 15% say surveys are extremely important, while roughly one-in-ten think they are not very (9%) or not at all (2%) important.
