Core finding

About half of Americans (49%) don't own a gaming console, leaving 51% who own at least one, according to a May 2024 Verasight survey.

Sony's PlayStation 5 is the most widely owned console (21%), followed by the Nintendo Switch (19%) and the Xbox Series X (17%); 13% own something else.
