A slim majority order standard-sized fast food meals
Core finding
Just over half of Americans (55%) say standard or regular sized meals are what they're ordering more of at fast food restaurants this year, an August 2025 Verasight survey finds.
For another 18% it's smaller portion sized meals or snacks, and for 17% it's larger, shareable meals they can eat some of now and some of later. One-in-ten don't order from fast food restaurants at all.
