Among Americans who know the Ninja Turtles, Michelangelo takes the crown: 26% of all adults say he is the best of the four, ahead of Leonardo (14%), Raphael (12%), and Donatello (12%), according to an August 2025 Verasight survey.

Recognition is the bigger hurdle: 28% of Americans, the largest single share, say they are not familiar with the Ninja Turtles at all, and 8% say none of them rates as the best.
