Core finding

No winter pastime rivals the holidays themselves: 61% of Americans count celebrating them among the activities they are most excited to do this year, according to a December 2025 Verasight survey.

Drinking hot chocolate (46%) and baking treats (41%) also draw big followings, while making crafts (20%), building a snowman (12%), skiing or snowboarding (9%) and ice-skating (8%) trail well behind. Another 14% are not excited about any of these activities.
