Many Americans give dogs high marks
Core finding
In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Aug. 1-6, 2025, a plurality of Americans (40%) call dogs 'the amazingest,' the top grade on offer. Another 35% say dogs are 'very amazing.'.
Ratings fall off sharply from there: 13% say dogs are 'moderately amazing,' 8% call them 'a little amazing,' and just 3% say they are not amazing at all.
