Reading habits do not change much by season
Core finding
In a Verasight survey of 1,000 U.S. adults conducted Aug. 1 to 6, 2025, 46% of Americans said they read the same amount of books regardless of the season.
About one in five said they read more in winter (22%), while 7% said summer and 5% named another season. Another 20% said they do not read books.
