When asked to name New York City's hottest neighborhood, nearly two-thirds of Americans (64%) say they're not sure, according to an August 2025 Verasight survey.

The Lower East Side leads the neighborhoods actually named, though barely: it and the West Village draw 14% apiece, with Williamsburg at 7%.
